SPATIAL COGNITION 2010 STIPENDS We have secured eighteen stipends to support student, both graduate student and post-doctoral researcher, attendance at SC2010 (www.spatial-cognition-2010.com). These awards are limited to US citizens and permanent residents. We are negotiating with potential sponsors for additional stipends that could fund international students. The stipends cover full student conference registration (includes all room and board expenses) but not travel to the conference site. The stipends were intended to support international research collaborations. US graduate students and post-doctoral researchers will be matched with students from European research labs. There will be a social event for all students during the evening of the first day of the conference with a brief presentation on international research opportunities. Students awarded stipends would be expected to present posters at the conference and/or participate in the doctoral colloquium. Note, due to the recent availability of these funds the deadline for poster presentations has been extended to June 1. Stipends are open to graduate students and post-doctoral researchers who are US citizens or permanent residents. Preference will be given to students and post-doctoral researchers who would not otherwise be able to attend the conference and can commit to presenting at the conference by June 1. If you wish to apply for one of these stipends please send the following information as a single document in an email to Thomas Shipley at tshipley@temple.edu. -Your CV -Short description of research you would present at SC2010 -Short statement describing your interest in developing international research collaboration -Please note if you are affiliated with SILC, have attended either of the International Spatial Cognition research workshops in the past, and if you require this stipend to attend the conference.
