DOCTORAL COLLOQUIUM AT SC 2010

Submission deadline: 1 June 2010
Notification: Beginning after 15 May 2010

The Doctoral Colloquium of Spatial Cognition 2010 is a forum for Ph.D. students to discuss their objectives and recent work with a panel of experienced researchers working in the field of spatial cognition, and with each other.

We welcome applicants from a broad range of disciplines connected to spatial cognition, such as computer science, psychology, engineering, cognitive science, and related fields. Applicants should be beyond the proposal stage in their dissertation research.

The Colloquium committee will select approximately 20 participants who will be expected to give short, informal presentations of their work during the Colloquium, to be followed by a short plenary discussion.

Submissions should be in English and not exceed 4 pages including an abstract of not more than 100 words as well as a description of the work in progress. Please include information on key interests, motivation, methods, and publications. In addition, a 2-3 paragraph biographical sketch should be supplied.

Submissions need be formatted according to the conference publication format.

The Doctoral Colloquium will be held on August 19th, the day after the main conference. Please submit your application by email, as a PDF attachment, directly to the Doctoral Colloquium Chairs:
